A practical workshop on how to create freelance proposals that help clients quickly understand the value of working with you.
During this session, Jenny Bjorklof from Freelancers in Belgium shares lessons from her own freelance experience, together with insights, examples and patterns gathered from the Freelancers in Belgium community.

We’ll look at:
• Real proposal examples from Jenny and other freelancers
• Common mistakes, dos & don’ts and small changes that can make a big difference
• Tips, hacks and structure ideas to make proposals more effective
• Legal and practical considerations freelancers often overlook
• How to make proposals feel more client-focused and easier to trust

Participants are invited to bring their own proposals for feedback. We’ll also do a breakout exercise called client-first proposals. Most proposals explain what the freelancer does. Strong proposals make the client feel understood, confident and excited to move forward.In small groups, participants rewrite real proposal fragments to make them clearer, more convincing and more client-focused.
The challenge: Turn “here’s what I do” into “here’s why this matters for you.”

We meet online every month (and occasionally in person) for practical marketing workshops focused on helping freelancers increase their visibility, strengthen their positioning, attract better clients, and build sustainable opportunities.

Host

Each session is hosted by Jenny Björklöf, founder and community leader of Freelancers in Belgium. She shares practical insights from her own experience as a freelancer and from running a community of more than 17,000 freelancers.
Some sessions also feature guest experts who bring additional perspectives and expertise.
